Welcome to the April edition of Woonallee's eNews

In one of the longest journeys we have made so far, we are embarking on the 3000km trip to Beef 2012 in Rockhampton from the 5th of May with 3 outstanding herd sires.

These exciting sire prospects represent what the Woonallee program is all about; genetic diversity, strong carcase traits, outstanding performance with tremendous softness and style. When selecting these bulls we thought it was important to take only cattle of the highest quality that have the ability to suit the northern environment and these 3 sires certainly fit this criteria. All 3 bulls are for sale at Beef 2012.

Flame (P)

Flame is a truly unique polled sire with amazing length, thickness and style. Sired by Gibby’s Real Deal and out of the very best BHR Doorn cow we own, he was earmarked to be retained as our next herd sire but  in our "quest to sell the very best" he now heads North to be our feature bull. A powerful young sire in the making.

Freightliner

Freightliner was the first bull that came to mind when we made the decision to head to Rocky. He displays huge performance combined with tremendous depth, thickness, softness and is one of the easiest doing and docile bulls we have ever had here at Woonallee.

Furner (P)

Furner is a polled Simbrah bull with a unique and outcross pedigree. We acquired these embryos from Buzzard Hollow Ranch in Texas and this young sire is a great example of a modern day Simbrah. Sired by LM Fullhouse who has bred exceedingly well in the USA, Furner displays tremendous growth, thickness, depth and amazing doing ability.

To inspect these 3 bulls please feel free to visit sites 210, 211 and 212 or for further information please feel free to contact us.
