Woonallee's 2009 Adelaide Show success
6 October 2009
After 3 years Woonallee returned to the Royal Adelaide show and it was a highly sucessful trip. Woonallee Vasti D132 was awarded the Junior and Grand Champion for the female section. A beautifully refined daughter of Woonallee Gladiator, Vasti Impressed Judge Mr Ian Durkin with her natural thickness, softness and overall structure. Vasti is the first calf out of one of the most impressive African imports Vasti B117.

In the bull section Woonallee was unbeaten in every class we exhibited in, with Woonallee Devil being named Junior, Grand and Supreme exhibit of the show. This 12 month old calf impressed Mr Durkin for his powerful sire appeal, huge carcase characteristics and natural softness. Sired by Woonallee Hadau out of the Woonallee T11, Devil is an exciting stud sire in the making. T11 is the dam of the Lucy family which has now achieved a National show and sale champion, 3 Adelaide show champions and many other sale toppers for Woonallee. Other Bull results were:
Woonallee Dateline - 2nd in 10-16 month class (Devil won this class)
Woonallee Dividend - 3rd in 10-16 month class
Woonallee Dominant - 1st in 16-20 month class
Woonallee Dimension (P) - 2nd in 16-20 month class
Woonallee Spicy also completed a great Adelaide show by winning Champion Simbrah. A fully imported embryo from BHR in Texas, Spicy is a tremendous young female that will make a great base for our Simbrah programme.
